Yes! Where the Duck is completely free to download and play, with no hidden fees. If you want to chip in, an optional supporter subscription unlocks a few extras — but every duck on the map is free to find.
New cities are joining the hunt all the time! Check the Duck Map to see if there are ducks in your area. If not, you can become a Duck Creator and start your own hunt!
Ducks are hidden in public places throughout your city. Look for clues on social media, check the Duck Map for hints, and explore popular landmarks, parks, and local businesses. Some ducks have clues that lead to others!
Yes, your phone needs NFC capability to tap ducks. Most modern smartphones have this built-in. Just hold your phone near the duck magnet or sticker, and it will automatically register your find.
When you tap a duck, it's added to your collection! You'll earn points, and the duck may contain hints to other locations, special messages, or promotional offers from local businesses.
Open the app and navigate to "My Finds" to see all the ducks you've discovered. You can view details about each duck, see when you found it, and check any special content it contains.
Absolutely! You can compete with friends on the leaderboards, share your discoveries, and join local duck hunting groups for collaborative hunts and special events.
Make sure NFC is enabled on your phone and you're holding it close to the duck tag. Sometimes you need to move your phone around slightly to find the right spot. If problems persist, contact our support team.
You earn points for each duck you find. Different ducks may have different point values based on difficulty and rarity. Your total score determines your position on the leaderboards.
Yes! We have leaderboards for all-time, yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily scores. You can also see local leaderboards for your city and compete with nearby hunters.
